Bryan Harris

Tutor – Agriculture

Bryan went into the maritime industry at 14 ½ years old and was a commercial fisherman.  After gaining his qualifications he became first mate/relieving captain on a tug and barge operation in Auckland. He finished in his late 20s to go into farming.  Since then he’s been an agriculture contractor and a farrier, and spent the rest of his time farming (including dairy, beef, sheep, horses, breeding and selling pig dogs and working dogs). Bryan enjoys working with youth and passing on his knowledge to make a positive change in their lives. Bryan has been at the polytechnic since September 2015.
