Tom Flannagan

Tutor - ICT

Tom tutors computing, mainly on the hardware side, and loves ‘seeing the light go on’ when students finally understand something that they’ve been struggling with.

Before becoming a tutor he worked for eight years with NZ Rail as a telecommunications technician, and for seven years with West Coast District Health Board as a desktop and server support technician. In 2006 he received a national health innovation award for his work in putting computer systems into GP practices on the West Coast (Project PrISM).
