Greg White

Tutor - Engineering

Greg completed his apprenticeship in maintenance and diagnostics in 2002, and since then has worked mostly in mining and heavy industrial applications – although he spent about three years fabricating food grade stainless for bakeries as well.

Apart from submerged arc, he has experience in every welding process relevant to today’s industry, and has been certified to weld most metals at one time or another throughout his career. He’s currently studying for his welding inspector’s certificate.

Greg has been at the polytechnic since 2013, and enjoys helping students to think outside the standard approach.  Sometimes the discussions get a little off track, but it becomes worthwhile when someone says “Oh! So that’s why...”
