Course Attended: Chef & Hospitality

Doing the food and beverage course through the Polytech has definitely given me that extra confidence that makes me better at my job.

I was already working in hospitality at the Portside Bistro and Bar, but I thought the course would give me some background. I think I have a little bit more confidence in myself now. I know more about what I am doing and that really helps when you are on the job and talking to customers.

If anyone is thinking about doing the course I’d say: it’s worth it in the long run. Taking that time to do the training and getting that knowledge. I’m not sure what the future holds for me – I have what I need for my job now and I am really happy doing what I’m doing at the moment.
