STAR (Secondary Tertiary Alignment Resource) are a series of courses that help students move from high school to a tertiary provider, like a polytechnic. These courses run during the school holidays, normally for one week and are applied for through your high school Careers Advisor.

About

This course will give students an introduction to the theory and practice of studio recording and mixing. Students will acquire the skills to operate small and medium sized recording equipment within operational specifications. Students will also learn the practical skills involved in operating a recording studio and recording software programme. Over the course of the five days each student will participate in the recording of other students, culminating in a CD of all the student projects completed during that week.
