Programme Structure and Workload
This programme is delivered via face-to-face and online teaching methods. Full time study is classed as completing 30 credits per 8-week intake. Full time acceptance into the programme is at the Programme Manager’s discretion in accordance with the entry criteria below. Students who study full time for four intakes will complete the qualification (with one strand) within one year.
The number of credits selected for part time study should depend on work, family, and other commitments. As a guideline, one credit equates to approximately 10 hours study within an intake period. The recommended maximum number of credits per intake, compared to working hours, are:
- Working 20 or more hours per week = enrol in a maximum of 15 credits per 8-week intake.
- Working fewer than 20 hours per week = enrol in a maximum of 30 credits per 8-week intake.
This is a guide only and will differ from student to student due to individual circumstances.
Students studying part time have a maximum of five (or three?) years in which they can complete the qualification.
Students will need to have access to the internet and a computer as there is an online component to this course in addition to tutor facilitation.
